Comments about Redken Color Extend Bonder Kit:

My hair was always long and gorgeous!! After a disaster color and cut I had it colored repeatedly and started styling with heat tools to get it to look decent. After 8 months of abuse it was like straw and STARTING TO BREAK OFF!! I tried olaplex, the UNITE line, MONAT, everything, but this system worked miraculously after 1 shampoo- it was like my old healthy hair was still in there somewhere!! I just stumbled upon this at my local Ulta and grabbed it out of desperation. So worth it!!

Why did they put SLS in the shampoo?

    By Dee

    from Pittsburgh

Comments about Redken Color Extend Bonder Kit:

Ugh. This would have been 5 stars but you can't keep color in the hair if your stripping it out with SLS every time you shampoo. Not to mention it's a known skin/scalp irritant. I have to throw out the shampoo. I just paid a lot for my color service. Not washing it down the drain and giving myself dandruff. Please take it out!

Comments about Redken Color Extend Bonder Kit:

This was recommended to me when a stylist took my hair from box color black and lifted (bleached) it twice in one day. I was skeptical. I used this for two weeks (I only wash my hair 3x a week and still had product left over). My hair has never been so soft! It barely even tangles. This isn't my full time shampoo/conditioner. I use this for 2-3 weeks after a color and then switch to Pureology Strength. My first set did last me for two colors - or about 18 washes with medium length hair. This has worked wonders for me. I've never loved my hair until now.

This kit is worth every penny! I had just gotten my hair highlighted and there were a few spots that got a bit fried up with the bleach. I used this today and my hair is SO soft and didn't get tangled out of the shower. Its a 2 week kit and I'm only on day 1 and already see a massive difference. WORTH IT!

Comments about Redken Color Extend Bonder Kit:

Sooo I red the directions prior to buying and figured the best way to do this was to wet my hair in the shower and squeeze my locks, apply the pre shampoo root to tip and wait five minutes while washing up my face and body and shave. Once 5 minutes passes I rinse my hair again. OMG any hair felt soooo soft I was so satisfied. Then I washed and conditioned and boom I was done. After I dried my hair,
It instantly has improved with just one wash. I have a ways to go to achieve the thickness of hair I want after neglecting my hair for over a year without a trim or anything, but I am extremely happy so far.

Ulta Salon Destroyed my Hair & then Recommended This

Comments about Redken Color Extend Bonder Kit:

I went in to the Ulta salon at Midtown, Atlanta, GA for a hydrating service and to possibly cover my grays. I was talked into a balayage that sounded beautiful--sunkissed, subtle, low on my long wavy to curly locks that were shiny and healthy due to thousands of dollars of proper care per year. The salon manager made my hair so fried, not balayage, and damaged that the hair was coming out in clumps immediately, she did a hideous job that looks like a nightmare before picture, tried to hide some of the damage by forcing a cut I didn't want on me (and ruining it more) and no one would help resolve the issue. I finally had to open a legal claim and got the regional hair salon manager to get back to me about what to do. She recommended these products and said she would recommend nothing else. They, coincidentally, did not recommend these products the day I left the salon after the manager took over 7 hours to ruin my hair. The step 1 is supposed to be the most important to use. It's a hot mess to apply to wet and towel dried hair. So apply to dirty hair? Washed and then towel dried hair? We aren't supposed to wash (step 2) before step 1. Sooooo...? If someone has damaged hair like mine, then they need a LOT more of step 1 than step 2 and step 3. I can't even get a comb through my hair. So the size is ridiculously unbalanced. It barely lasts. So, I am not in love with it at all. It isn't helping that much, but I don't know what to do. So I am using it.

It wasn't so complicated to use. I used it once and new it was not for me. I have other Redken brand stuff that I like but not this.
It didn't lather, it was expensive, and i wasn't impressed. I used it once hopefully I can return for at least some of my money back.

                HANDS DOWN - PHENOMENAL PRODUCT!!

                By Jenn

                from Orlando, fl

Comments about Redken Color Extend Bonder Kit:

I had a color disaster happen with my hair; it ended up having to be bleached 3 times in two weeks.. two of those times were back to back in two days. Needless to say, my hair went from thick, soft and healthy, to brittle, damaged and coarse. I could barely even run my fingers thru it!! My stylist recommended this to me to help my hair hold the color (which was deep violet, mind you). I couldn't believe how AMAZING my hair felt after just the FIRST use!!! I could run my fingers thru my hair, run a comb thru it without a tangle, and it was SO SOFT when my hair dried!! I was so impressed that, I immediately went out and bought two more kits, as one kit wouldn't accomplish much more than two washings with how much hair I have... which is the only downside I can see. I've been using this product for 4 weeks now, and I can say that my color has held very well!! I'm surprised that half of the color isn't at least 40% gone by now... but I give the praise to this product entirely. The directions weren't hard to understand at all, so I don't know why that review is on here. Step 1: apply liberally to damp hair; let sit for 5-8 mins; rinse. Step 2: Apply and lather (like regular shampoo); rinse. Step 3: Apply Conditioner to damp hair and I let it sit for 5 mins; Rinse. Your hair will feel like a million bucks!! Tip: if you're not already doing so, rinse your hair with cold water ONLY. I make my water as cold as I can stand it, which isn't very cold... hope this review helps someone out there!!

Yes! That is what we recommend. The Redken Color Extend Bonder Kit is designed to help repair damaged bonds, keeps the hair shiny, smooth and maintains the hair's natural pH balance. Once you have used the system for 2 weeks, we recommend switching to any of our color safe shampoos in our Redken Haircare line.
